For many years, Jan Hooimeijer has been a popular keynote or guest speaker at various symposia and events at home and abroad. His program "Parrot Health, Behavior and Welfare" is extremely popular among students and veterinarians, and has inspired many to specialize in avian medicine. Since 1983, Jan has spoken at over 88 international conferences and lectured at universities and seminars, and participated in over 89 international conferences.

Virginia, USA - May 10th-11th: Seminar invited by Study Group Veterinary students and Prof. Andrew Gardiner (professor of behavior and animal welfare).
Edinburgh, Schotland - September 18th-19th: Participant in the European Society of Veterinary Clinical Ethology Congress.
Helsinki, Finland - October 3th-6th: Presenting two master classes ('The prevention of respiratory problems in parrots' & 'The prevention of behavioral and welfare problems') during the AAV Anniversary Congress in Phoenix.
Phoenix, USA - October 25th : Participant in the Congress “Back to the Future” organized by the Doctors (Corona) Collective Foundation.
- November 29th-30th: Presenting the seminar and workshops for veterinary students and colleagues at the invitation of Royal College of Veterinary Medicine in London.

Mumbai, India - April 11th-15th: Speaker at the international ICARE conference.

- April 18th-19th: Invitation by study group of veterinary students from Dublin University.

- End of April: Invitation by colleagues from Malaysia to present the seminar and workshops in Kuala Lumpur.
